Understand Sermon Statuses

Sermon status tells your team where a sermon is in the internal review workflow. Publishing status is separate.

Sermon statuses

Uploaded means the sermon file has been uploaded and a sermon record exists.

Processing means AI Cleanup or another processing task is currently working on the sermon.

Ready for Review means AI Cleanup has completed and the cleaned manuscript should be reviewed by a person.

Approved means the sermon has been reviewed and accepted by the team.

Archived means the sermon should stay in the library but is no longer part of the active workflow.

Publishing status is different

A sermon can be Ready for Review and still private. A sermon can also be Approved and still unpublished. Public visibility is controlled separately from the sermon workflow status.

Use the publishing controls on the sermon detail page when you want to publish or unpublish a sermon from the public library.
