How Exlectio Is Organized
Exlectio helps a church turn sermon files into a lasting teaching library. The product is organized around one simple path: upload a sermon, create a working manuscript, review it, organize it, and decide what should become public.
The main areas
Dashboard gives you a workspace-level view of what needs attention. It highlights recent sermon activity, public library readiness, billing status, and workflow items such as sermons ready for AI Cleanup.
Workspace Library is the shared sermon library for the workspace. This is where team members upload, review, organize, and publish sermons for a church or ministry.
Series groups sermons into preaching series. Series can be private, visible inside the workspace, or selected for public display when the public library is live.
Public Library is the outward-facing sermon archive. It only shows sermons and series that have been intentionally published.
More contains Docs, Blog, and settings areas such as public library settings, team settings, billing, and profile settings.
The basic sermon workflow
- Upload a PDF or DOCX sermon file.
- Exlectio preserves the original upload.
- Exlectio creates a Markdown working copy when text can be extracted.
- The sermon starts as Uploaded.
- You can run AI Cleanup when the manuscript is ready.
- While AI Cleanup is running, the sermon is Processing.
- When cleanup finishes, the sermon is Ready for Review.
- You review, edit, organize, and publish only when ready.
The idea behind the product
Sermons are more than weekly content. They are part of a church's discipleship memory. Exlectio is designed to keep that memory useful: searchable for staff, reviewable before publication, reusable for small groups, and shareable with the church when appropriate.
