Is the Free plan permanent?
The $0 Free plan can be ongoing after a Church-to-Free downgrade. A new Free signup currently starts with 14 days of access; when that trial ends, workspace features pause until billing is activated.
Is a payment method required to start?
No. Free and Church signup do not collect a payment method. A Church trial does not begin charging automatically; billing starts only after the workspace owner explicitly activates it.
What happens when the Church trial ends?
If billing has not been activated, paid workspace features pause when the 14-day trial ends. Existing content is not automatically deleted.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Workspace owners can manage plans from billing. A paid Church-to-Free downgrade is scheduled for the end of the current billing period, so Church access remains available until then.
What counts as an AI generation?
A completed AI sermon cleanup or small-group question generation counts toward the workspace’s monthly AI allowance.
What happens when I reach a plan limit?
New uploads or AI generations covered by that limit are paused. You can upgrade or wait until the next billing period; existing sermons remain in the workspace.
What happens to my sermons if I downgrade or cancel?
A downgrade to Free keeps existing sermons and guides, while Church-only features turn off and non-owner members are suspended. A canceled paid subscription remains available through its current period, then paid features pause.
Who owns the sermon content uploaded to Exlectio?
You retain ownership of sermons, notes, documents, and other uploaded content. Exlectio receives permission to store and process it only to provide the service.
