Welcome to Exlectio
Welcome to Exlectio—a new way to preserve, organize, and extend the impact of your church’s teaching long after Sunday.
For years, I’ve watched churches invest deeply in sermon preparation—prayer, study, writing, and faithful preaching—only for much of that work to disappear after Sunday.
A sermon manuscript may sit in a folder. Turning it into small-group content can feel like starting over. And for many churches, the only lasting record is a full-length video on YouTube.
I built Exlectio to change that.
At its heart, Exlectio is a content management system for church teaching. It gives pastors and ministry teams a simple way to preserve, refine, organize, and share the sermons they have already worked so hard to prepare.
As a pastor, I’ve felt these frustrations firsthand. That is what sent me on a four-year software-development journey—and I’m excited to finally welcome you to Exlectio.
Make every sermon more useful
With Exlectio, you can upload a raw sermon manuscript, review it, and publish it as part of a searchable, lasting teaching library. You can also connect the sermon’s YouTube video, create discipleship resources from it, and keep everything related to that message in one place.
The goal is simple: help your church get more life out of the teaching God has already entrusted to you.
Search that helps people find what they remember
We put a tremendous amount of care into sermon-library search.
Maybe someone remembers a sermon that deeply impacted them, but all they can recall is a story about a canoe trip. Or perhaps they only remember that it came from Genesis. With Exlectio, they can search those details and quickly find the relevant sermon and moment again.
By automatically organizing sermons with series and tags during AI cleanup, Exlectio removes the burden of manual tagging and makes it easy for your church to return to the teaching that shaped them, without needing to remember the exact title or date.
AI that serves the pastor
At Exlectio, we believe AI is a tool, not a taskmaster.
Most pastors do not write their manuscripts for public consumption. They are written to faithfully serve a congregation in a particular moment. That does not mean they are not worth preserving and sharing.
Exlectio uses AI to help you become a better steward of that work. You choose the level and type of AI cleanup you want, then review and edit the result before it is published. The pastor stays in control; AI simply helps make the manuscript clearer and more usable.
Carry Sunday’s teaching into discipleship
There is no shortage of excellent discipleship content. But I believe churches are often best served when they can go deeper into the teaching God is already giving their congregation through the pulpit.
That is why Exlectio includes small-group guide generation. You can create guides for kids, youth, and adults, choose the format that fits your ministry, and adjust the number of questions and level of depth.
The result is a more connected teaching and discipleship rhythm—from the sermon to the living room, classroom, youth group, or kitchen table.
Share it without creating another obstacle
A resource only matters if people can access it.
With Exlectio, you can publish a public sermon library and embed it directly into your existing church website. Your people get an easy way to revisit sermons and discipleship resources, while your church gains a long-term library of the teaching God has used to shape your community.
Exlectio exists to help churches preserve what they preach, extend its impact, and make discipleship more connected. If you are ready to build a lasting sermon and discipleship library for your church, get started with Exlectio.
